Tomaž Lutarič, known artistically as Luti, is an artist and poet from the Sonček Center Maribor. Living with cerebral palsy and using a wheelchair, Tomaž has expressed his creativity through visual art since 2001. He is especially drawn to bright, vivid colors and enjoys painting animal motifs, human figures, and houses.
Alongside his visual artwork, Tomaž is also an accomplished poet. He has published two poetry collections — In the Shine of Black-Red Lights(2003) and On the Shards of the Past (2008) — where his verses reflect deep emotion and a unique view of the world.
“Artistic expression gives me the chance to weave my emotions into my pictures — it helps me feel better. I work with vivid colors, especially using colored markers. Each of my artworks includes a snail — my personal symbol and signature.”
